The NZ breakers have start off their season with their first win against Melbourne United and the score was 76-71. The game was close for the first three quarters, with both teams have turns taking the lead. However in the final quarter the Breakers shot the ball very well to score 28 points and gain a victory. Shooting guard Corey Webster scored 11 points which included a treble of three-pointers while wing-man Tom Abercrombie drained 14 points, both in the final 10 minutes.
