Jarryd Hayne quits NFL for the Olympics 

San Francisco 49ers player Jarryd Hayne has quit NFL in the hope of making the Olympics. Hayne has played for the 49ers for one year. He played eight games for the 49ers and managing 52 yards on the 17 rushes and also catching six good throws for 27 yards. Hayne played in the Australia National Rugby League from 2006-14 and then joining the 49ers. He qualified for the Fijian team and also his father fijian. Hayne will travel to London to join up with Fiji before the Sevens World Series finale at                       Twickenham next weekend.                                                                   Jarryd Hayne   

Huge slip at Waihi gold mine.

Around two million tonnes of rock has slipped down at a gold mine Waihi. No one was working in the Martha open cast mine. Luckily there were no injuries and the slip was not a surprise as officials have been monitoring it for a year. There is still movement being monitored at the Gold Mine.    

New Star Wars trailer released

The trailer for the new Star Wars was released. The Star Wars spin off doesn't follow on from the latest film. It goes back to explain the background of the story. The film is released in December.

World’s fastest roller coaster opens

Roller Coaster

A new roller coaster has opened. The roller coaster is now the tallest and the fastest ride in the world. They have opened it at Six flags Park in Los Angeles. The ride in California has a 55m loop that takes people upside down and twice around. What is also amazing is that the theme park has 18 roller coasters now.

My class had to do a Sumopaint design about Waitangi Day for our artwork. First we had to get into buddy groups and then start. Some of us went on the internet to find some details and draw or paint it on sumopaint. Then when we are finished we had to write the steps out of what we were doing on sumopaint and what online tools we used to create it.
